Pulse 23.10

Oslo cultural life is pulsatingJand you get your update of it nowJ

1. The first event which opens the Pulse is a theatre performance “Invandrer” by Andy Smith. As the artist says himself ” innvandrer is an entertaining and engaging performance work that attempts to tell stories and recount the experience of movement from one country to another: of my move to Oslo and Norway, my thoughts and experiences of that movement, and my struggles with communication in this new context. The work will be performed in Norwegian with a little english, exploring the limitations and problems of language, as well as ideas of migration and immigration today”
So why not take all the knowledge you gained at your Norwegian lessons with you and go to UKS at Lakkegata 55 D
On Wednesday 24th of October at 19.00
It’s free of charge.
2 The next event to be announced is a Norwegian movie at Cinemateket. The “Junk mail”. This black comedy, with the not so reliable Roy as the protagonist, deals with love, hot money, cold spaghetti, karaoke and involuntary good deeds. Roy is a wreck of a love-starved mailman ruled by curiosity, a mean streak and a mighty ability to find himself in the wrong place at the wrong time. The movie is screened with the Norwegian subtitles. It’s on Thursday 25.10.2007 at 16:30
And it’s free of charge.

3. The event I’m going to talk about now is not free of charge, so it’s on the category of “low-budget” it’s a concert of mentioned earlier in the SIN program band Shctimm.
It’s at Mono on Monday, 29th of October at 21.00
The entrance fee is 70kr.

4. The last event on the Pulse programme today is another theater performance “Look at me! Look at me! : Confessions of a controversial shock artist”. In this performance lecture Kate Pendry will reveal some of the secrets and lies behind the scenes of her work, the violent reactions, the small victories over madness, how she deals with bad reviews and the curse of believing in your own publicity. Room for questions + answers, with prizes for interesting questions.
It’s on Mon 29. Oct 2007At 19:00, Teaterscenen Chateau Neuf
