Pulse 09.12.2008

First event is Nobel Peace Prize Ceremony, which will be held on 10th of December at 1 p.m. in the Oslo City Hall. During the award ceremony the laureate will deliver his Nobel Peace lecture. And this year Nobel Peace Prize will go to Martti Ahtisaari for his important efforts on several continents and over more than three decades to resolve international conflicts. Saddly, entrance only with invitations, but at 6 p.m. will be held Torchlight procession, which will start at Stortorget and continue to the Grand Hotel, where the laureate will be greeting the procession from the balcony. Moreover, on 11th of December exhibition on Martti Ahtisaari will be open in the Nobel Peace Center. So, You will be able to visit it! For more information visit: www.nobel.no

Second event is Oslo International Students Union party! This party will be held on 12th of December in Amatoren from 8 p.m. until 3 a.m. It will be great party with dj, open dance floor and a lot of fun! Party theame is: 'We love Oslo'. I hope that You love Oslo too and You will join the party! It is free of charge!

As this week there are no more special events, I suggest You to go to the Christmas markets in the Harbour, Sandvika or Folks Museum and trye to get into Christmas mood or take T-bane number 1 and go the 'Tryvann Vinterpark', which is the largest ski lift facility in the Oslo.
